A group of people are seated around a table in a well-lit room, facing a whiteboard. Three large sheets of paper, each featuring the outline of a human figure, are attached to the board. The figures are covered with colourful sticky notes. One person stands at the front with their back to the group, placing sticky notes onto one of the paper figures, suggesting a collaborative workshop session.

We can create or help support spaces for individuals to contribute to action research about defined topics or to help a group design a process to identify topics that matter to them, such as financial inequality, health support, community activities and how to move these agendas forward. By using methods including ‘deep democracy’ we can ensure that spaces are safe, accessible and inclusive, that all voices are heard. We use participatory techniques to encourage ownership and leadership such as discussions, mapping storytelling and art. We believe that enabling people to create their own content is core to change.

Facilitation & Training Case Studies

Hostel residents brought their creative vision to life by building a model of a virtual hostel, using recycled materials like cereal boxes and egg cartons.

A Place for Me

Led by the Good Organisation, we facilitated a collaboration where hostel residents shaped their vision of a virtual hostel, what it should provide, feel and look like.
