We have strong relationships with local communities and can help you connect with people whose voices aren’t always heard. Together, we can turn their experiences and ideas into useful insight that can help shape better services.

From community-led research and engagement to bespoke training and evaluation, we’ll work alongside you to understand what’s working, what could be better and what could be done differently.

Community Research Hub

Our Community Researchers are people with lived experience of using support services or experiencing marginalisation.
 
They use their own experiences and insights to help organisations better understand the people and communities they work with.
 
Based at our Community Research Hub at St Denys on Walmgate, York, our researchers come together to carry out research, share expertise and collaborate.
 
The Hub is open every Monday, 1 – 3 pm and Thursday, 11.30 am – 2 pm, providing a welcoming space where people can meet, share their experiences and have their voices heard.
 
Together, we explore what’s working, what isn’t and what could be done differently. This helps organisations listen to communities, understand their experiences and work together to create better services and decisions.
 
Our Community Researcher model is one of only a handful of its kind in the country, putting people with lived experience at the heart of research.
